He has the best backhand out there, even Federer is saying so. Value the opinion of the greatest player of all time : Federer admitted his favourite player to watch was Gasquet. The guy is a tennis Genius with, sadly, a lack of focus in long matches.

@cmr1020 lol! i totally agree with you! i love his backhand, but i have always thought that his greatest crime was to be so gifted at said stroke only to be so naturally un-athletic. A non-athlete, athlete…poor guy.
Yes he could beat me, but my goodness is Gasquet’s forehand ugly! It pains me to watch him hit it. His movement isn’t the best either. It looks as if he has huge blisters on the bottom of his feet and he tries not to do further damage. Just my opinion.
@nstiver I’m not calling it a bad forehand, in fact del potro’s arm goes into a strange limp whenever he sets up for a forehand, and he has one of the best on tour. So how you look doesn’t at all matter.
And, to respond to your question, yes, my forehand (and serve) looks less goofy than Gasquet’s 🙂
@Zailis i agree about the fh, but seriously? his backhand is a fuckin whip. hands down its one of the best backhands in the top 50. watch some of his matches and you’ll get what i mean
