yeah he is known for carving up angles on his apponents and if his forehand had a little more power i think he would be in the top 10. i still think hes going to be a top 10 player
Agree with you. his backand’s just fantastic and his forehand is awkward looking, but pretty good though. But weaker than massive ones. Anyway Gasquet’s technique is really pure.
He has great form on both wings. I don’t like his forehand though, he’s backhand is MUCH better. All in all, he’s forehand is average and his backhand is just the best one-handed backhand on the tour.
His forehand grip is close to an Eastern Grip but he extends and flicks his wrist at contact so it looks like a semi-Western. When you watch him hold it in the ready position, it actually looks like he holds it right between the two.
He drops the raquet head to form the loop of his swing. It really is beautiful form.

By Kbaek11, August 3, 2011 @ 12:58 pm
his forehands kinda awkward because he uses a in between continental and eastern for his backhand(wont have to switch grips between shots)
By HanKang0, August 3, 2011 @ 1:35 pm
Is it just me or is his forehand awkward to watch?…
By CleckleysProof, August 3, 2011 @ 2:21 pm
Failed to deliver on that mammoth potential. Such a shame.
By azianpro53, August 3, 2011 @ 3:05 pm
his forehand is not bad, just different.
his godly backhand saves him half the time

So now, you’re telling me to “fuck off” for asking you a question?
Why are there so many dickhead bullies on the internet?
By doetim, August 3, 2011 @ 9:23 pm
You do you call someone rude when you said “fuck off” first? Makes no sense.
